We have been busy this week. On top of lots of mowing and trying to quicken up the greens for the Ward Wilson this weekend we have also undertaken some important tree work and some bunker finishing.
We have finished the 2nd greenside bunker, although it wont be in play till next week as the sand is very soft still and the sand only went in late last night so it was too dark to take photos.
However we have also tidied up some of the trees on the right side of 5. We have tried to promote the dog-leg with the bunker addition and the removal of the poorly placed trees on the right has really opened the hole up and created much better shape. With another bunker to go in and the treeline to shape further - this hole is really going to look something special.
As many of you might have seen on my website
http://www.wix.com/daniellightfoot/daniellightfoot.com the member website or on the notice boards at the club, the tenth hole is set for some very large improvements. To get a feel for what we needed to do we have removed a section of trees to open up the view of upper lake in the area that one of the new lakes will go.
It looks stunning and one can see what a great feature the new water bodies will be, not just strategically but also aesthetically.
