Ninth bank

We were probably never really happy with how the ninth bank came out during the redesign.
We have redone it and will be planting it with a mixture of rhodendrons and heather to make it fit in to the local area,  as well as block out as much of the maintenance facility as possible.

I think it will look great when fully developed and with the heather planting already we have really improved this end of the hole.  When the long grass grows in the summer it will look awesome.

Winter work

The winter work is getting close to completion and hopefully we will be done by the first week of march, with just the 16th tees to do. This job starts that week. We have finished the 9th tees work by the 8th green, completed the 16th bunker turfing and are working through improving the ladies 4th tee. The driving range woodland improvement is done and hopefully some tree work on five over the next few days will really finish things off. Sean and Scott also spent some time finishing fifth drainage, which will mean we can get golfer to exit the green in two areas next winter, which will really help the green surrounds. Great to see it all coming together for what should be a great year. No major work planned in the summer so we will have a whole season to get all the new changes just right.

Enjoy

Work has started on the 16th bunker. Hopefully with some dry weather we can get it turfed. It looks great and with plans for the new tee being written then the start of this hole will be dramatically improved.

Ninth improvements

As many of you will know that that the changes to the ninth,  early last year, were a great improvement to the golf course, but it was still lacking a bit of something!! Here is a little video update of our efforts to develop the hole some more.
